In every industry, those who have taken the lead have consolidated themselves in every way imaginable and built strong bulwarks in anticipation of potential competition. As new entrants into a hostile and constantly evolving economic environment, it is critical that we harness ourselves and divine qualities to the maximum in order to entrench ourselves as a formidable force in every industry.
Getting your product on the shelves of well known retail giants such as Walmart and Target stores requires the producer should have the capacity to supply great quantities for their distribution. Without the capacity to fulfill giant orders a contract cannot be secured with these retail outlets. Furthermore globalization of world economies has tremendously increased the landscape of all industries such that there is a greater burden to create unique products and services and offer a wider array of choices. While it is an arduous task developing a new product or service that garners the patronage of potential consumers, it is even more difficult today to keep costs under control with rising costs of real estate, taxation and other factors of production. More than ever producers constantly have their backs against the wall and have to walk a gauntlet of extreme challenges in order to survive. Without a network of support to undergird start-ups, small and medium scale enterprises the chances of survival is slim and many may end up shutting their doors permanently.
Today every business regardless of the product or service is faced with the challenges of high competition as well as high costs of advertising. Most mega-sized corporations can afford to saturate their target market with high levels of persuasive advertising. In most cases the advertising budget of big businesses far outweigh their production costs which is a standard that small and medium sized businesses can never match. Many small and midsized businesses took advantage of the concept of ‘network marketing’ to penetrate the market but then the scheme itself has been over leveraged in most cases and like a pyramid caves in on the most vulnerable. While the concept of marketing through networks remains the most feasible way for new entrants into a market, it is yet to be harnessed by Christians within the Body of Christ. Our numerical size makes us a formidable market for any product and guarantees a jump-start for any new enterprise owned by a Christian.
The need for funding is always the ‘big elephant in the room’ when it comes to many small and midsized enterprises. Today many financial institutions do not have a framework for lending money based on a good business plan. If you approach most banks for loans, they will rather recommend a credit card that is based on your credit score. Though a credit card gives you access to immediate cash, the downside is that the terms are hardly flexible, the interest rates are ridiculously high and the default rates are suicidal for a business. In short using a credit card to finance your operations is very likely to hurt your business very badly assuming your projections fail. Strong equity capitalization is the strength of big businesses and as Christians we should be able to raise capital among ourselves to fund those Christian enterprises that garner our interest.

As we turn the corner in the next step for Christians to come together to impact those who have a definite dream and a plan; working together to build a strong foundation npt only for this generation but that which is to come. what ii have learned by speaking with some of my peers who are Christians they are somewhat fearful, and when asked why, they underlining thing is trust. i also ask the question, you would go out there and purchase from someone you do not know who carries the same product as one whom you know, why is that and again, trust, and fear. that being said, i am a firm believer in helping others succeed regardless of whether i know them personally or not. As long as they are motivated, and doing it is a reason to helo those in the christian community. a little drop of water on a rock will eventually split that rock so it is that we as christians must help others to succeed in their business and come together to make a change.
